Substation Vienna Southeast

The Vienna-South East substation is the network node substation for the eastern operating region and is located in Vienna’s 10th district. This is where the maintenance team is based that serves the substations in Ebenfurth, Ebreichsdorf, Kledering, Neusiedl, Sarasdorf, South Burgenland, Ternitz and Vienna-South East. The substation’s high-voltage installation comprises 380-kV, 220-kV and 110-kV switching stations. Directly adjacent to the substation is a 110-kV facility owned by Wiener Netze GmbH which is supplied via the APG substation.

The Vienna site regularly trains apprentices as technicians as part of a combined electrical engineering/metalworking programme. The apprenticeship lasts four years.
