So far, classic new pylon designs have not had the desired positive effect on public acceptance.
The Austrian Power Giants combine innovative pylon design with aspects of nature in the form of animals in order to harmonize electricity infrastructure with nature.
In this overall concept, an Austrian Power Giant is to be designed for each of the 9 federal states in Austria in the form of an animal that matches the respective federal state.
For example, the stork was chosen as the symbolic animal of this federal state due to the annual visits of storks to Burgenland. Or the stag to match the wooded foothills of the Alps in Lower Austria.
