Tertiary Control

Tertiary control power is also referred to as "minutes reserve". Details relating to the minutes reserve called are also promptly published (indicative values) on the page Control Area Imbalance.

In accordance with EIWOG 2010, tertiary control reserve in the APG control area is since 1.1.2012 no longer be procured by the balance group coordinator APCS Power Clearing and Settlement, but rather by APG. See Tenders for Tertiary Control Power in the APG Control Area

Transitional regulations for prequalification for tertiary control

Within the framework of the working group Balancing Energy, it was agreed that plants that have participated in tenders for minute reserve organised by APCS up to 30 September 2011 will be required to complete temporary prequalification for tertiary control at APG within the framework of an accelerated process. This temporary prequalification is valid until 31 December 2012. As on several occasions in the past, we once again draw your attention to the fact that a list with the relevant plants must be forwarded to APG by Friday 18 November 2011 at the very latest. The registered plants that meet the specified criteria will receive a temporary prequalification from APG to facilitate continued participation in the tenders.
